Return to Home Page

Catherine Davidson was born in New York in 1785. Her parents are unknown.

According to the Livingston Deed Book of Livingston County, Kentucky Catherine was a witness on a deed that David Davidson and Hannah sold near Eddyville in 1805. Other witnesses were John Davidson and Jane Davidson.   Livingston County, Kentucky marriage Records Vol. I Oct 1799 to July 1839 show that David wed Hannah Maxwell in 1802. It also states that Catharine Davidson and David Caldwell, both of Livingston County, wed on June 25, 1807. The bondsman for the couple was Francis M. Caldwell. The same book had listed the marriage of Francis Caldwell and Nancy Davidson in 1801.

It seems very likely that Catherine, Nancy and David Davidson were siblings.  The relationship to John seems highly likely but unknown.

Children of Catherine and David are believed to be:
1. Evelina IGS says born in 1810
2. Zerelda born 1816
3. Robert born 1825 re 1850 census.

Catherine, his wife, was 65, born in New York,
Robert Caldwell age 25, born in Kentucky
Gilley Caldwell age 20, born in Virginia (I believe her to be Robert's wife)
