THE STORY AS I KNOW IT

 

Mary Ludford was born about 1680. It is unknown where she was from. The Delaware IGI states that she married Thomas Nichols on July 13, 1704 in New Castle, Delaware. I do not have the source materials.

It is believed they had at least two children:
1. Mary Nichols, born about 1705, who married 3 times, the 2nd time to Thomas Hayes.
2. Thomas Nichols born about 1710 who married Lydia Hayes.

Thomas Nichols was from New Castle Delaware. Thomas and Lydia Hayes were siblings.

This information is recorded in a book Chester and Delaware Counties. It includes biographies of leading historical families. This information is found under the Hayes family in Volume 1.
