DANIEL GIENGER
THE STORY AS I KNOW IT
Daniel Gienger was born about 1790 probably Wurttemberg,
Germany. A Maier Genealogy was written in
the 1930's while a family member was living in Germany.
However, I also have a copy of the Protestant church
              records of Bissingen
an der Tech microfilmed by the LDS library. The
handwriting is in old German and the spelling varies but
the detail matches what had been discovered in the
1930s.   He was in Bissingen when his daughter Barbara Gienger was
born, but I can find no marriage records for he and his
wife.  Perhaps they moved there to start a family.

The Giengen an
der Brenz is is a kreis in Heidenheim (I think
that is parish), Baden Wuerttemberg.  So possible his
name is connected to this village.

Daniel Gienger married Anna Barbara Ensinger about 1815 but I don't know where. Their one child known was Barbara Gienger who was christened March 25, 1819. FHL film 1055842 of Bissingen an der Teck church records. The church records states the birth dates of bride and groom and their parents bird names as well as when and where the marriage took place. This village is south east of Stuttgart.
We don't know when he or his wife died, but it was after 1819.
